2008

PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

“OPEN PROGRAM” CLASSES

Classes available for individual clients. 

CLASSES ARE SCHEDULED ON:

MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 

BETWEEN THE HOURS OF:

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM &

3:00 PM to 6:30 PM

FEES: 

1 hour weekly classes (4 riders maximum): $50 per class – per rider

45 minute weekly classes (3 riders maximum): $40 per class – per rider

(Freedom Riders’ scholarships are available)

SPRING SESSION 8 weeks – total fee: $400 or $320

Classes begin the week of May 4th & end June 28th

SUMMER SESSION 8 weeks – total fee: $400 or $320

Classes begin the week of July 6th & end August 30th 

FALL SESSION 7 weeks – total fee: $350 or $280

Classes begin the week of September 7th & end October 25th

EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY

“SPECIAL PROGRAMS”

Schools, agencies, etc. may arrange with Freedom Riders for a “Special Program” designed to fit the needs of their group of clients. Days, times, and fees are individually contracted for each group according to its requirements. Please call for more information.

RIDING LESSONS

Riding and horsemanship skills classes are available to the general public. Please call for scheduling information.

Fees: $40 per hour - group lesson (maximum 4 riders)

                                                     $25 per half hour – semi private (maximum 2 riders)

Maine Special Olympics Horse show, Skowhegan Fairgrounds

Freedom Riders Annual Horse show

Saturday, October 25th

All “Open Program” riders are eligible to participate in this non-competitive show.

All clients must meet Freedom Riders’ eligibility policy that follows NAHRA guidelines for medical precautions and contraindication's as well as behavior and weight/height restrictions. This policy helps ensure a positive experience and the safety of the client as well as that of our volunteers, staff, and horses.
